That's too deep for a man who isn't even engaged.
I remember a song that said something like, "It isn't as exciting as it used to be, but I sure don't mind feeling this comfortable."
There is a kind of settled repose that is preferable to the exciting discovery phase--which is of course heightened by the relative uncertainty of the arrangement. This is contrary to pop-culture's assumption that marriage is basically a four year honeymoon followed by the inevitable divorce, followed by the conclusion that marriage at 35 was "a bit too young."
